Train calves at home....but how?

hi guys,
I do some workout now and then, I have some weights dumbells and barbell and a bench. This works for me to adress most musclegroups.....unfortunatly I can't effectivly target my calves. I try to use heavy weights and do standing calve raise but there is not much movement from the floor up to the highest point. What could I use to stand on, to maximize the angle without loosing my balance too easy? Any other suggestions?
