Are fairies real?

I don't think we have discussed this topic, so I thought I would see what others think.

I was always told that fairies are nature spirits and are usually seen only by children. Adults see them as a mist or orb of light in the woods or gardens. I personally have never seen them, but I do know a lady who says she has always seen them since childhood. I do think fairies exist, what about your thoughts.
