Hard Stool - Hope Miralax works :(

Stools too soft or too hard...balance?

So I've been upping my intake of fiber and this morning I woke up with a hard front end with a soft back end stool (wierd I know) followed shortly by a stool that was WAY too soft and was more irritating than a hard stool. Ooh how I hate that burn.

Miralax question

I am using 1 capful of Miralax, 1x daily. I originally started out with just Metamucil & stool softeners, but the CRS added Miralax. I seem to do really good for the first few weeks when I start something more, but now I am starting to bind up again

Initial Stool is hard

My stool is fairly soft with the fruits, veggies, and stool softeners, but that first stool seems to be hard and causes me to bleed. Does anyone have any tips? I am trying to recover from a fistulotomy and I feel like that first bit kills me. Thanks!
